Budget Analyst Location: Washington, D.C. BluePath Labs is a fast-growing research and consulting company committed to solving complex problems for federal, state, and local government clients. We are actively seeking to identify personnel to join our team of talented professionals who possess the experience, vision, commitment, and integrity to successfully support the strategic goals of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) Office of Mission & Capability Support (MCS). DHS S&T was established by Congress to provide innovative scientific and technical solutions to the nation's homeland security challenges. Within S&T, MCS executes Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) to transition solution approaches, technologies, and knowledge products in support of DHS Component customers including U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Secret Service, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Federal, State, Local Tribal and Territorial (FSLTT) first responders, and the larger Homeland Security Enterprise (HSE). MCS covers all DHS mission areas and serves 13 discrete customer portfolios. Duties may include, but are not limited to: Maintain and monitor budgets. Monitor performers to ensure fiscal commitments, obligations, and expenditures are appropriate. This includes assisting in maintaining monthly reporting information from performers, budget execution plans, and electronic and paper contract administration documentation. Analyzes acquisition financial information flows; designs and operates financial systems; performs special studies; and reports results to improve the overall operational and financial effectiveness for the program/project. Analyzes and interprets financial data to determine cost benefits, performance, trends and for forecast financial probability. Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, and applicable laws and regulations. May be also required to assist in the development and maintenance of spend plans; and guard against, identify, and report irregularities in budget executions Required Qualifications: BA/BS + 5 years of experience or Master's + 3 years of experience Must be a US citizen Must have an active Top Secret Security Clearance Applicants selected must be eligible to receive DHS Suitability About BluePath BluePath Labs combines mission and business insights with advanced technologies to deliver measurable performance improvements for our clients.
