The Distribution Uniformity (DU) Intern measures water and pressure from irrigation systems in order to provide the grower an irrigation evaluation report with recommendations to improve the efficiency of the irrigation system. The season runs from May - August and our growers determine our work hours and days. Our schedules are typically 6-8 hours a day up to 6 days a week. What you will do every day: Drive company truck to various agricultural fields Accurately measures water and pressure from irrigation systems Take detailed notes, pictures, and precise calculations in the field, along with visual observations in order for dispatch to enter the data into a standard format for reporting purposes Observe any visible problems with the field and report to dispatch What makes you the perfect candidate: Detail oriented Flexible work hours Observant Excellent communication skills Knowledge of data collection Clean driving record Are you prepared to do the following: drive a vehicle hike on uneven terrain Work in inclement weather and adverse conditions lift up to 50 pounds Dig holes occasionally to recover irrigation line Start work early and breath fresh air Other learning opportunities: Assist service technicians Perform remediation's Assist product manager with warehouse organization, blending chemicals, cleaning
