LOCATION: Rawhide Event Center/Wild Horse Pass Motorsport ParkCOMPENSATION: $56,000-$82,200 (DOE)HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week, full-timeFLSA STATUS: ExemptSUPERVISORY: YesREPORTS TO: General ManagerPosition Summary: The Facilities Manager is responsible for the oversight of the maintenance staff, budgets and projects for Rawhide Western Town and Wild Horse Pass MSP. This position is responsible for conducting regular inspections; handling service requests; oversight and managing of maintenance and operations including safety planning and annual adherence to all Fire, Life Safety building inspections for the entirely of operations. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform oversight of all necessary general maintenance duties for Rawhide and MSP.• Ensure that all buildings, structures, parking lots, landscaped areas, internal roadways and common grounds are properly maintained by staff assigned.• Insure that all weekly inspections or annual inspections of all assets are conducted and records kept.• Coordinate implementation with Senior Administrative Staff for any areas or projects designated that require maintenance or repair.• Coordinate with Senior Administrative Staff on special carpentry and remodel projects.• Participate in all departmental training, staff scheduling, and employee disciplinary reviews with Senior Administrative Staff.• Insure that all vehicles and equipment are maintained and that records are maintained and preserved.• Responsible for reporting all operational activity to the Senior Administrative Staff through written and verbal communications.• Responsible for oversight of all grooming, cleaning, and any repairs associated with the rodeo grounds• Will be on an on-call basis for emergencies or issues related to Rawhide and MSP.• Coordinate with the Senior Administrative Staff to plan, develop, and carry out work assignments to support events held on property and provide assistance to achieve business goals.• Maintain the highest standards of professionalism and customer service in any interaction with the public.• Perform additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by management at any time KEY QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE: • Must possess High School Diploma or GED.• Five (5) years of progressive experience in all aspects of facilities maintenance.• At least two (2) years of experience directing and supervising the day-to-day work of employees.• Must possess a valid AZ driver's license and provide proof of past driving record for thirty-nine (39) months from the Department of Motor Vehicles. GRIC driver's permit will be required, drive certification needed to drive all community vehicles.• A satisfactory result obtained through a test for illegal drugs is a requirement of employment. Must acknowledge and agree to maintain a drug-free workplace as a condition of employment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: • be able to exercise sound independent judgment.• Employee must be dependable, reliable and self-motivated.• Ability to write and speak effectively, provide verbal and written reports as needed.• Ability to operate power tools & equipment as required.• Demonstrate knowledge in general landscaping qualities.• Strong supervisory and management skills.• Ability to work in a team environment.• Strong ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with people of various educational and cultural backgrounds.• Knowledge of emergency procedures relative to fire, life, and safety.• Ability to act calmly and responsibly in an emergency situation. COMPUTER SKILLS: Required: Microsoft Suite, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Outlook.Preferred: POS systems; and inventory control systems. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Must demonstrate the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATH SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret variety of instructions in all formats and deal with both abstract and concrete variables. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed both outside and inside; outside work is performed in most kinds of weather with exposure to extreme heat, fumes, and direct sunlight. Work is performed primarily in an amusement/event venue setting and motorized racetrack setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to very loud. Periodic evening, night, weekend, and holiday work is required. Periodic extended hours and irregular shifts are required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be outside for an entireshift/extended period of time. This employee will be required to walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; execute repetitive motions of the wrists, hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to sit; and climb, balance, bend, stoop, lift, carry, push, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will be required to drive a motor vehicle during the course of their work. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
