Ranger Die is seeking a Customer Service manager with strong project management skills. The ideal candidate has a background in the tool and die industry with strong technical knowledge of tooling and stamping processes. SUMMARY: The basic function of the Customer Service Manager is to serve as the primary link between design, die making, production, operations, and the customer, assisting with manpower planning and scheduling to meet the needs of customers and guarantee all commitments are kept. The position requires assisting all departments with smooth, open communication. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Monitor productivity in the press room to ensure parts are produced and shipped to keep commitments to customers (no short shipments). Develop plans and schedules to make the best use of available resources and maintain impeccable service to customers. Communicate regularly with tooling managers, designers, and die makers regarding progress on jobs. Monitor Job Tracking and track incomplete jobs that are approaching 80% use of hours. Maintain production documentation for finished parts and WIP parts. Check sales orders daily for new jobs and add jobs to the master schedule. Follow up on open issues for designers and die makers and provide prompt and accurate feedback. Maintain up to date timelines and communicate with customers as needed. Exercise good judgment and decision making; understand when it is appropriate to involve the Operations Manager or Engineering to help with a technical question. Coordinate site visits with customers, the Operations Manager, and Die Makers. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education - High school diploma or equivalent; Engineering degree or equivalent preferred Experience - 5-10 years' experience in manufacturing; preferably in engineering or tool build License(s)/Registration(s)/Certification(s) - n/a Skills/Knowledge/Abilities - excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; strong leadership skills; ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment; proficient with Microsoft 365, especially Project; proficiency with Global Shop or equivalent ERP software; strong technical knowledge of die building processes Ranger Die offers a benefit package for eligible full time employees that includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; flexible spending account; 401k; and paid time off.
