We want to execute winning strategies to ensure we are providing WOW customer service in a safe and effective manner. Currently, we are looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. To be successful as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you should have a solid understanding of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and have your own tools. Ultimately, a top Heavy Equipment Mechanic should be able to ensure efficient problem solving to reduce downtime of our equipment. If you have worked on construction and/or mining equipment, we want to speak with you. Basic Responsibilities: Inspect vehicles or equipment to identify problems Perform breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance to improve reliability of equipment Troubleshoot and repair other types of various production equipment Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards Must be willing to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Basic Requirements: Owns and maintains the basic tools to complete repairs 3-5 years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy duty equipment and/or diesel trucks Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical repairs Electrical and mechanical aptitude ASE Certification preferred Engine experience on Cummins, Caterpillar, and Detroit Diesel preferred Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and work on your feet for extended periods of time The employee occasionally is required to lift up to 50 pounds.
