Tri-State Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, an independent and busy ortho group providing the Pittsburgh region with the most advanced orthopaedic care for more than 45 years, is actively recruiting for a full-time Assistant to work in their Surgery Coordination Department located in North Hills (McCandless). Variety of responsibilities related to a patient's upcoming surgery may include: review/triage incoming documents including test results, scan to patient electronic medical record, forward pre-op test results and paperwork to hospitals prior to surgery, confirm upcoming surgery schedules with hospitals, compile relevant records for physicians to take to surgery, follow up with patients after surgery to schedule post-op visits, answering live calls from patients, schedule/reschedule patient surgeries, as well as other clerical and administrative tasks. Candidate must possess strong organizational skills and computer proficiency. Must also demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional customer service, while maintaining a positive and upbeat attitude in a fast-paced work environment. Medical Terminology preferred.
