Children's Home of Kingston is currently hiring a Per Diem Psychiatric Practitioner. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner plays a critical role to support the holistic well-being, care, and treatment of our students working in collaboration with different departments within the agency. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Evaluate, Prescribe, direct, or administer psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, and/or or behavioral disorders Gather and maintain patient information and records, including social or medical history obtained from the student, family members and/or other professionals Design, implement, oversee and manage individualized care plans, using a variety of treatments Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including the Director of Clinical Services, as well as other healthcare professionals as needed and required . Any and all other duties as assigned. Requirements Education/Experience: Must have be a PMHNP (Psychiatric, Mental Health, Nurse Practitioner) having a graduate degree (Masters with an APRN i.e. Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - with certificate) or a doctorate degree in mental health nursing. Must hold active licenses, and in good standing Min 2 years' experience working as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in pediatric/adult psychiatry required Experience working with those on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities, strong preferred Certified in First Aid/ CPR.
