This position is responsible for efficiently servicing assigned customers while complying with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations and with Company policies. Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds and work alone or with a team. Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities: Function/Responsibility : · Driving in a safe and efficient manner to complete assigned routes accurately and on time · Dump containers manually and/or using rear-lift mechanism · Empty vehicle at disposal site · Participate in all required Company meetings, including weekly safety meetings · Assist other drivers with routes when directed when directed · Pre- and post-trip inspection and report · Complete route paper work · Work all assigned shifts from scheduled start time to scheduled end time · Take an active role in the improvement of safety and health in the workplace · Receive complaints from customers and report issues with problem stops to Dispatch in a professional manner · Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: · None Competencies: · Customer focused · Safety knowledgeable and focused · Professional in appearance and demeanor · Respectful of Company vehicles and equipment · Quality oriented · Reliable and dependable · Able to adapt to changing work requirements on daily/hourly basis · Exceptional driving skills · Ability to read and write (logs, reports, orders, maps, etc.) Hiring Requirements/Preferences: · Appropriate Commercial Drivers License (CDL) · Acceptable driving record · Able to meet all DOT requirements · Basic mechanical knowledge
