About our Organization Since 1984, Segue Inc. has been a leader in providing quality mental health services in Jackson and Hillsdale counties. Contract Therapist for Adults and/or Children The contract Outpatient Therapist provides office-based therapeutic services to adults and/or children. The Therapist is responsible for providing individual and/or family therapy using therapeutic interventions driven by the consumer's needs, wants, and desires and as dictated by their treatment plan. QUALIFICATIONS: Must qualify as an MHP or QMHP with a Master's degree and Michigan licensure or limited licensure Two years of post-degree clinical experience with adults who have serious mental challenges is required Ability to type 35 wpm with a high degree of accuracy; experience working with EMR preferred Knowledge of the Mental Health Code, Medicaid Standards, and CARF standards is preferred. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Conducts initial intake meetings with new consumers referred to Segue. Conducts initial, quarterly, and annual assessments of consumers' needs. Develops a therapeutic relationship with consumers and their support with an awareness of maintaining appropriate boundaries. Individual therapeutic sessions and interventions are provided using a strength-based approach and best practice models. Documents all services provided to the consumer and about the consumer to include all billable services and non-billable services according to Segue and Medicaid standards. Completes and submits documentation the same day as the service. May facilitate group therapy services. May provide information for court reports and other consumer-related reports as required and attends court as required. Works collaboratively with program staff to ensure consumer information is communicated effectively. Works closely with local social and health service providers to coordinate needed entitlements. Communicates regularly with the Outpatient Therapy supervisor. SECURITY SENSITIVE: This position has access to security-sensitive information and is subject to HIPAA and 42CFR Part 2 rules and regulations. This is a contracted position.
