Initially started with the mission to provide access to high quality tutoring without the high price tag, our organization has grown, minimizing education and care disparities for children through childcare , tutoring, and more. We are an integral part of the Ebensburg community, providing much needed support for families, schools, and children. Our Ebensburg childcare centers offer FULL TIME or PART TIME Infant, Toddler , and Preschool Child Care opportunities. What's in it for you? The chance to make an impact by: Being the compassionate , smiling face and vibrant light when interacting with the children on a regular basis; Collaborating with other Child Care Staff to plan and execute fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities for the children in the classroom and on the playground ; Caring for vulnerable young children when preparing snacks/meals, changing diapers, and supervising; Engaging the parents/guardians through regular communication about the development and well-being of their child(ren); and Safeguarding each child when cleaning the classroom, adhering to the safety and security regulations you learn through our employee development training, and more. What are the hours like? Our centers are open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Our Full-Time Child Care Workers work an 8-hour shift within these hours. Our Part Time Child Care Work ers have the flexibility to choose regular hours that work for their schedule within this time frame . Substantial Childcare Discounts for most employees, including Infant/Toddler: $12 per day or less if eligible for Child Care Works (CCW) Preschool - School Age: $9 per day 50% Off Before and After Care 50% Off Tutoring Services Pay Ranges from $9.36 + based on experience Our Full-Time positions also include: Benefit s , including PTO ( up to 18 days after 6 months of employment ) H ealth Dental Vision Life L ong- T erm D isability S hort- T erm D isability Retirement savings (403(b)) 529 Savings Plan Tuition reimbursement What do you bring? High school diploma is the minimum education requirement. Previous experience with children, and this does not have to be in a childcare center! Have you volunteered with children before? Are you a former or retired teacher? All of these are examples of some of the many ways our staff have experience with children. Willingness to go through (and pass!) the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including: four clearances, mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test. This can typically be accomplished within a week to get you started. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. The children grow! Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, bending and stopping for long periods of time, as these happen throughout the eight-hour day.
