We want to execute winning strategies to ensure we are providing WOW customer service in a safe and effective manner. As a torch operator, you will be responsible for cutting large pieces of metal down to appropriate sizes and lengths. This is done through the use of a torch and dressing is appropriate safety gear including a helmet, face guard, and safety clothing. Basic Responsibilities: Help identify certain types of metal Set up torching equipment Dress in appropriate safety gear and clothing Will use a torch to cut metal into the appropriate sizes and lengths Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Detail oriented person possessing a good mechanical aptitude Manufacturing and/or heavy industrial work experience helpful Some heavy lifting required (up to but no more than 50lbs) Ability to read work instructions Actively participate in all safety aspects of the company Prompt and regular attendance at an assigned work location Ability to stand for prolonged periods Ability to interact with employees and customers in an appropriate manner Ability to receive and understand direction from management Ability to complete or oversee the completion of assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Voluntary Life/AD&D, Medical Savings Plan Paid Time Off (PTO) 7 paid holidays 401k w/ Metro matching up to 4% (employees eligible after 1 year of employment) $500 Employee Referral Bonus $500 Employee Retention Bonus Safety Incentives Summer and Winter Company Parties Extra Mile Program Employee Assistance Program
