Position: Accounts Payable SpecialistLocation: San Carlos (or other Bay Area location)Overview:· The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for a range of general staff accounting tasks but will be primarily responsible for working with direct cost vendors, maintaining accounts payable payments & records, and provides other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization.Essential Duties:· Review all invoices/statements for appropriate documentation and appropriate approval prior to payment· Process payments· Match invoices to checks, and distributes payments accordingly· Administrates and maintains vendor master files, including vendor set up, 1099 maintenance, Form W-9 and all related activities· Possess strong oral and written communication skills. Must be a team player and able to work well with other administrative professionals· Respond to all vendor inquiries· Assist in month end closing· Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices· Reconciles statement and the ledger making sure that payments are consistent· Audits statements as necessary· Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.· Assists with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary· Other duties as assignedEducation/Experience Requirements:· Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience· Microsoft Excel (required)· Worked within a multi-unit business (preferred)· QuickBooks experience (preferred)· Strong analytical and accounting skills· Ability to work independently and as part of a team· Ability to multitask and high attention to detailRequirements:· Valid Driver's Licenses· US Work Authorization
