The COO-CFO reports to the CEO and serves as an integral member of the senior management team. As the COO, he/she will provide the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. As the CFO, he/she will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and evaluating overall corporate strategy with the CEO and leaders of business units with emphasis on bottom line performance, working capital, and technological systems. This position will provide useful financial insights to help make better decisions about formulating and executing strategy. POSITION FUNCTIONS Essential Functions: Provide senior leadership guidance and oversight for multiple Trucent business groups' sales and operations, shared services, and corporate services teams to achieve Trucent's significant growth goals. Leads the development and execution of an annual operating plan that fully supports the company's strategic plan and annual budget. Establish internal and external processes and key performance indicators for the business and for their measurement and effectiveness. Identify operational roadblocks in advance and adjusts accordingly to successfully achieve objectives on time. Provide timely, accurate, and complete reports on the operating condition of the company. Spearhead the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes. Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and human capital designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of the organization. Ensure that company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures to meet operational and financial targets. Motivate and lead a high-performance management team; attract, recruit, and retain required members of the executive team as needed; provide mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development program. Maintain direct contact clients and partners when appropriate. Oversee, as required, banking relationships to enable the company to meet sales, growth, and market share objectives. Foster a success-oriented, enjoyable, and collaborative culture within the company. Represent Trucent with clients, investors, and business partners. Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the CEO informed of all critical issues. Direct short-term and long-range planning and budget development to support strategic business goals. Support human capital by ensuring all HR and related functions are properly performed. Essential CFO Functions: Define the corporate financial strategy, manage financial capital and communicate capital requirements/ implications of business decisions to CEO and senior management staff. Conduct meaningful proactive analysis to improve key business decisions focusing on management of working capital, use of financial vehicles, and others. Grow equity value - increase gross profit and reduce debt. Ensure efficient capital expenditures and minimize taxes Provide useful financial insights to help make better decisions about formulating and executing business strategy. Maintain market awareness of industry trends, opportunities and turns. Drive operational accuracy, efficiency and scalability through systems and process enhancements and IT infrastructure. Establish internal control processes required to manage and grow the business. Lead team of key stakeholders in evaluation, selection, and implementation of new ERP system. Effectively lead the finance / accounting team by developing and coaching existing team and by hiring and retaining top-grade talent when needed. Develop and implement a financial risk management policy. Effectively manage financial relationship with banks. Oversee legal issues if applicable. Structure, negotiate, and finalize purchase agreements. POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's degree in business or engineering. MBA is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 10+ years' experience developing broad-scoped business relationships with demonstrated ability to grow. Minimum of 10+ years' successful experience as a senior level executive and in a progressively responsible financial and operational leadership role. Track record of success in tying company strategy and growth to product development and innovation. Skills and Abilities (May be representative but not all-inclusive, of those commonly associated with this position): Excellent critical thinking, strategic orientation, execution, and project management skills. Exceptional verbal, analytical, organizational, and writing skills. Ability to develop, layout, and follow through on detailed business plans and programs High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Integrative team working style with ability to foster team spirit. Strong business and financial acumen Up-to-date knowledge of current financial and accounting computer applications. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office. Able to effectively interface with all employees and business partners. Strong negotiation skills. Travel Requirements: 25%-50% travel in US, Canada, and Mexico
