Schedule varies. Pay: $16.30 SUMMARY Greets and assists guests of the golf shop and provide administrative support to Junior Tennis Director. Promotes and follows LJBTC, Inc.'s Signature Service standards and requirements ensuring a lasting impression of exemplary service resulting in supremely satisfied and loyal members and guests. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Answers telephone and efficiently handles guest/member requests and inquiries. Has knowledge and understanding of golf and all tennis programs. Provides administrative support to Tennis Director. Opens and closes shop and golf course. Greets and registers guests for golf course. Makes sure all sports equipment is in ordered and fully stocked. Rents golf equipment. Schedules appointments for lessons, clinics and other/all activities for golf and tennis. Sets display window to promote golf programs and tennis programs Assists members and guests with setting up games on course. Cleans shelves, counters or tables including outside equipment. Oversees cleanliness and overall appearance of Shop, patio, playground, restrooms and golf course. Maintains clean and orderly golf shop and work area at all times. Removes Micros daily receipts and sends receipts to front desk for processing. Maintains sales records and receipts and is able to operate Micros sales register. Other duties may be assigned. OUTCOME The servicing of guests and members at the Golf/Jr. Tennis Shop in an efficient and positive manner will influence the customers perception of the company as friendly, helpful, professional and reliable, and will generate merchandise sales. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE The education and/or experience needed include a High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of golf and rules of game required. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence such as incident reports. Ability to speak English effectively to guests, members or employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must be outgoing and have ability to get along well with all types of individuals and people of all ages. INTERACTION Employees in this position have daily interaction with guests and members daily, as well as the following departments: accounting, membership, front desk, executive personnel, engineering, purchasing, catering, human resources, security, reservations, group sales, housekeeping, golf and massage therapy. SCHEDULING This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Shifts will generally be rotated, as much as possible to be fair to everyone. At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed shift if business or task assignments demand. In addition, it should be understood that business needs determine the number of hours that you work.
