Salary Range: $60,000 to $65,000 Trans-Bridge Lines, Inc., a family-run business celebrating over 80 years in business, is currently seeking a full-time Accountant. We are expanding our Accounting Department and are looking for that right someone who is trustworthy, detail-oriented, and a problem solver. Duties/Responsibilities: Performs general financial accounting, cost accounting, and other related duties in the accounting department. Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements and financial analysis for upper management review. Prepare month end journal entries for multiple companies. Organize and process year-end 1099's. Manage and reconcile cash receipts and deposits. Reconciles complex monthly bank statements. Prepare and file required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies such as use tax and federal fuel tax. Research and process ESCHEAT items. Process and maintain invoicing for accounts receivables. Prepare work papers for audit reviews. External Reporting. Ad hoc Reporting. Perform special projects as needed. Perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Broad knowledge and experience of financial accounting and cost accounting. Education and experience necessary for adherence to GAAP. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Intermediate to excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Proficient with accounting software. Multiview knowledge a plus. Strong organization skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent problem-solving skills. Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Five years of accounting experience preferred. Physical Requirements: Sitting at a desk for a prolonged period while working on a computer and performing accounting duties. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
