Description:
A Direct Support Professional with Medical Responsibilities helps individuals developmental disabilities maintain their health and well-being by ensuring that they are able to attend every scheduled and emergency medical appointment. This position schedules medical appointments, attends appointments and advocates for the medical needs of individuals. The DSP with medical responsibilities must obtain and maintain a Dept. of Developmental Disabilities Medical Administration Certificate. This position will maintain accurate records of and monitor all medical information for individuals. Other duties may training staff as needed and performing quality assurance checks. This position is 1st and 2nd shift and some weekends. This position will also work a DSP shift when not performing medical duties. Applicants must have all of the following: 2 years in DD field preferred Have a high school diploma or GED Valid Driver's License Pass a background check and drug screen CDS supports the DSP Longevity EOE/Provider
