Founded in 1977 as a family-owned business, we became part of IMC Group in 2020 joining the Berkshire Hathaway family of companies. It is an exciting time for IMCO! Take a drive by our location in the Cedar Park business park, off 795 in Perrysburg Township. You'll see that we are in the midst of a significant expansion. This expansion will provide us with a state-of-the-art facility that will support our goal of becoming the largest end mill manufacturer in the United States within five years. We plan to hire upwards of 80 individuals in a variety of roles over the next two - three years to ensure we accomplish this goal. One of the positions that we are anxious to fill is in our Human Resources Department. We are searching for a dynamic individual to join our Human Resources team as an HR Coordinator. This is a full-time position. Annual salary is $45,000-$52,000 a year and will commensurate with experience. The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for a variety of duties that support and facilitate the policies and processes of IMCO Carbide Tool Inc, IMC Group, and Berkshire Hathaway. The HR Coordinator will report to the HR Manager and have supervisory responsibility for the HR Administrative Assistant. This role will interact with all levels of management and employees within the organization. Confidentiality is required. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: Maintain HRIS System Data Current system is iSolved - experience with this platform is ideal. Must be able to learn functionality and integration points Must be able to utilize the system appropriately and efficiently. Accuracy is a necessity. Employee Benefits Assist with open enrollment, new hire enrollments, and qualifying events. Monitor enrollment actions to ensure timeliness. Audit HRIS system periodically to ensure accuracy. Work with HR Admin on enrollment issues Claim issue liaison for employees. Carrier bill audits & corrections Paid time reviews. Audits and reporting as requested. Payroll and Tax Payroll review, preparation, and processing - secondary Set up new tax entities - provide notification to Accounting Investigate and correct payroll and tax issues. Inform HR Manager of any unresolved issues. Assist with payroll reporting, as necessary. Recruiting Post open positions and monitor applicants. Review applicants and send resumes to Managers / Supervisors Schedule Interviews as requested. Onboarding / Off-boarding Orientations in conjunction w/ HR Manager Termination paperwork w/ HR Admin and HR Manager Work w/ HR Admin Policies, Procedures, and Employment Legislation Involvement in reviewing, drafting, implementing, and training Monitor required postings. Determine FMLA eligibility - work w/ HR Admin on tracking Safety Involvement as requested. Injury reports tracking W/C Claim payment and tracking Meeting and Events Planning Participation Scheduling / Notifications Other tasks or projects as requested by HR Manager General expectations and responsibilities of the HR Coordinator role include, but are not limited to: Read and comply with the policies contained in the IMCO Employee Handbook, including any revisions or addendums made part of the Handbook. Understand and comply with the company's operating philosophy, policies, and procedures. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee personal information, health information, wage information, and company financial information. Report harassment or knowledge of harassment, either direct or indirect, to a supervisor, manager, or Human Resources Adhere to attendance policy, understanding the consequences for non-adherence. Observe all safety rules and regulations including wearing and maintaining personal protective equipment. Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and orderly fashion. Work as a member of a team to meet the requests and expectations of our clients/customers, employees, Management, and/or outside auditors. Attend training and/or meetings as requested. Skills, Education, and/or Work Experience Requirements: Preferably, candidates apply for the IMCO HR Coordinator position will have a Bachelor's degree with a focus in Human Resources Management and 1-3 years of HR experience. Three or more years of HR experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. HR related experience should include at least one year of hands-on HRIS experience; an understanding of FMLA; exposure to and understanding of a variety of employee benefit plans, knowledge of benefit plan administration, experience with employee benefit enrollment processes; knowledge of and exposure to payroll preparation, processing and reporting procedures, and systems is preferred (additional training will be provided). Experience with safety, injury reporting, and workers compensation is a plus! Other necessary or preferred skills or experience include: Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Supervisory experience preferred. Microsoft Office Products, including Excel experience, is required. Exceptional attention to detail. Effective time-management skills, ability to handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Experience using a variety of office equipment. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully, in accordance with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, to include meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards within the scope of the position. This position requires regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Other requirements are: Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs., on occasion (i.e. paper or supply boxes) Must be able to communicate effectively: talk, listen and speak clearly Must have flexibility of hands / fingers for data entry and other clerical duties Ability to sit for periods of time; bend, reach, stoop to retrieve materials; walk, or otherwise move about, safely. The Human Resource Coordinator will work in a variety of settings, including the following: Primarily, an open office area, with moderate noise levels primarily from telephones, office equipment, and other employees. This area has climate control. On occasion, in a warehouse area, which may have moderate noise levels and has climate control. On occasion, in a production area where there may be contact with natural oils, synthetic oils, and various grinding dusts. This area has moderate noise levels and has climate control. This position will work on-site, Monday - Friday. Standard schedule is 8:00a - 5:00p. Consideration will be given to alternate schedule requests. On occasion, there may be a need for an earlier start time, later end time, or possible weekend to attend all-employee meetings or events. This will be discussed in more detail during the interview process.
