As the Director of TPA Sales, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Sales, you will engage in structured lead generation sales activities, including but not limited to prospect research, networking, cold calls, events, conferences, and thought-leadership outreach targeting TPAs. You will be responsible for growth and maintenance of the sales volume by tracking changing trends, economic indicators, competitors and supply and demand. In this role you will: Deliver and Execute (65%)- The Director of TPA Sales is responsible for business development and growth of Exponent Health's sales for TPA clients as part of its medical cost containment line of business. Specifically, you will develop a robust TPA prospect pipeline through generation and qualification of leads which are sourced through key partner referrals, direct outreach, and personal relationships. The result of which shall lead to business opportunities through quotes and/or formal RFP's. Learns and Grow (10%) - Learns through successful and failed experiment when tackling new problems; Actively seeks ways to grow and be challenged. Plan and Align (25%) - Builds partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives; Works across functions and supports client first mindset; Relates openly and comfortably within diverse groups of people. This role will require limited travel (up to 40%). Develop a multi-year strategic sales plan with goals, priorities, and client specific strategies balanced against corporate objectives. Work cross functionally to create client specific sales plans to address unique client business needs. Support Exponent Health's enterprise initiative to use our integrated CRM/email applications to track and organize meaningful customer communications to support corporate standards and protocols for internal reporting and metric requirements. Work cross functionally and coordinate with Marketing as needed for sales support activities and associated promotional materials. Study competition, understand product portfolios, and work cross functionally with Sales, Product Development & Innovation, Pricing, and Operations to find new ways to attract and retain customers. Meet sales and revenue targets as presented by sales leadership. Present sales proposals, coordinate, lead product and technology demonstrations, and prepare sales contracts. Negotiate with clients as business or product lines may require, including pricing, financial and performance guarantees. Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, in writing or in person. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build rapport with customers. Participate in events and conferences on behalf of the company. Assist in the development, deployment, and adoptions of business intelligence Other duties as assigned. Required Expertise BS/BA in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field. Minimum 5-8 years industry sales experience in Healthcare and/or Pharmaceutical markets. Experience tracking relevant sales KPIs. Experience with CRM software, workforce management, project management software desired. Strategic leadership skills, creative problem-solving methodologies, and proven negotiating skills. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
