Due to revenue cycle platform growth, GBS RevCycle , is looking for ambitious, motivated individuals to join our team! POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for daily payment, posting and reconciliation to ensure accurate accounts receivable reporting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Balance deposit slips, check tape and report on daily basis Perform daily posts, corrections and apply patient and insurance payments, including all bill types and corresponding contractual adjustments to patient accounts Code and post insurance and patient payments; maintain required records, reports and files Flag any EOBS that will need a secondary claim and pass onto the clerical support for photocopying Flag any credits (patient and insurance refunds) for processing as per credit balance protocol Post NSF and interest charges Maintain required data and patients accounts, reports and files List unidentified payments to correct suspense account, documenting transactions to maintain adequate audit trail Resolve misdirected payments and return incorrect payments to sender Correct and post debit/credit adjustments of misapplied payments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of accounts Audit, correct and balance ERA transactions Prepare/process credits and patient and insurance refunds Participate in educational activities Perform other duties as assigned and/or assume additional responsibilities as required QUALIFICATIONS (K nowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements) High School Graduate or equivalent Minimum of 2-years cash posting experience in a health care organization Knowledge of medical terminology Must be able to effectively communicate with physicians, clients and staff employees Must be computer literate and have basic word processing, excel, and calculator skills; computation, typing and filing Must be able to work flexible hours when needed and occasional extended hours when necessary Effectively cope with change Orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal; uses resources effectively and efficiently; detail oriented Widely trusted; keeps information confidential; maintain confidentiality within a HIPAA secure environment ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS Normal office environment Sit for long periods of time; manual dexterity, use a calculator and to operate a computer keyboard; frequent mobility required to access files; bending, stooping, walking and lifting required Must be able to work flexible hours when necessary with occasional extended hours when necessary Mandatory overtime at month-end SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Does this job have supervisory responsibilities?
