Kent Place School seeks a Varsity Assistant Tennis Coach. Prior coaching/playing experience at the collegiate level preferred; experience at the high school level required. For more information on Kent Place's athletics programs, please visit https://www.kentplace.org/athletics Hours: 3:45pm-6pm (games could finish later) Season: Fall (August 21 - Nov 12th) Qualifications and responsibilities: Understand the fundamentals of the game of tennis, including knowledge of rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport. Ability to motivate players to reach their potential. Exceptional leadership skills. Strong interpersonal and administrative skills. Maintain, along with coaches, the proper supervision of student-athletes at practices, games, and on school-provided transportation. Promote good public relations through professional standards of conduct and presentation and professional courtesy. Model sports-like behavior. Ability to work effectively with others. Adhere to best practices of diversity and inclusion so that interactions with students, colleagues, and other constituencies highlight awareness, competence, and sensitivity. Attend mandatory preseason parent meetings and training sessions with the Athletic Department. Participate in special activities, awards nights, admission panels, open houses, coaching clinics, and pep assemblies. Complete all coaching accreditation modules and KPS training.
