The Bocce Ball Commissioner (BBC) is responsible for creating the first and last impressions of the full club Bocce experience which includes planning, organizing, and executing our Bocce League. The BBC is an integrated member of the Food and Beverage Team and may assist with some valet responsibilities when there is no Bocce Ball activity or events taking place. Reports directly to the Clubhouse Manager. Day to Day Responsibilities : Oversee, organize, and run the Bocce Ball league and Bocce Ball lessons to include Bocce promotions and registration. Create memorable and unique events to achieve maximum participation by adding wow factors and providing exceptional customer service. Responsible for assisting with coordination, execution, and follow up of each event. Ensure that all Members and Guest check in at matches and Members are addressed by name. Must be knowledgeable of the Bocce rules, conduct and arranging of the matches. Perform close of business functions following guidelines and procedures established by the Club. Assist fellow Employees, Members and guests to ensure "best member experience" without being directed. Be aware of team members and the environment and participate as a member of the team. Notify supervisor of Member/Guest complaints at the time they occur. Rectify, practicing service recover, any complaints as soon as possible. Duties include : Instruction Assistance in understanding rules and play. Communication of sign-up process, scoreboards, weekly results & Schedules Facilitate Bocce sign-up events Assign members to teams Arrange teams by day Schedule matches Assists Members with Officiating matches when needed Attend Bocce Committee meetings Make sure the courts are ready on the day of play Identify ways to improve the Bocce Ball program Other duties may include valet, parking members' cars. Valet requirements include a 3 year clean DMV record and must be at least 21 years of age to drive members cars. Purpose : Create a FUN environment! Education and Experience : Customer service experience required. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Preferred: Certification in CPR, First Aid and AED. Qualifications: Team player. Ability to create and keep a positive work culture Excellent written and verbal communication skills Professional, organized, and detail oriented High energy and personable Work Conditions: Required to work in an outdoor working environment - Regularly Exposed to extreme temperatures and inclement weather - Regularly Noise level in the work environment - Usually moderate Must be available to work, days, nights, weekends, and holidays Physical Requirements: Required to stand and walk - Frequently Required to talk or hear - Constantly Required to stoop, kneel, and reach - Occasionally Required to sit - Occasionally Required to lift up to 30 pounds - Frequently Required to carry, push and/or pull up to 30 pounds - Occasionally Required specific vision abilities - close vision and distance vision
