POSITION SUMMARY The Crew Leader is primarily responsible for managing their assigned crew and ensuring that Prestigious Turf & Landscape Solutions, Inc. (PTLS)'s quality standards for all work assignments are met. In addition, this position will be responsible for performing small scale irrigation work orders and repairs. The Crew Leader will work closely with the Assistant General Manager (AGM) and with the General Manager (GM) on a daily basis. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Crew Leader Duties (90%) Ensure PTLS Job Quality Standards are met at all responsible properties; Set work pace and ensure crew remains on task; Ensure that crew members are using proper Personal Protective Equipment ( PPE) Contribute to a healthy work environment that fosters teamwork and minimizes conflict; Complete assigned work orders and service requests; Communicate workorder needs (e.g., material needs, scheduling requirements, staffing, etc.) with manager; Maintain the inventory of the crew's tools and materials; Organize and store tools and materials at yard appropriately; Report equipment issues to mechanics; Keep equipment clean and in safe working order; and Interact professionally with all customers and co-workers. Administrative Duties (10%) Utilize billing program (e.g., VendorTrax) for punch lists and client correspondence; Process Service Requests on VendorTrax; and Conduct monthly inventory checks. Ability to travel to various locations; Sitting at a desk for sometimes long and continuous periods of time; Answering or making calls on the telephone for sometimes long and continuous periods of time; Occasionally standing, walking, reaching, and stooping; Lifting up to 50 lbs.; and Exposure to low to moderate noise level. QUALIFICATIONS Incumbents must demonstrate the ability to follow policies and procedures as established in the Company's Employee Handbook. Incumbents will also contribute to a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a manner such that they get along with all constituent groups, co-workers, and management. In addition, the education, experience, and other skills listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. EDUCATION Required: basic reading, writing, and math skills typically associated with a high school diploma or equivalent. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS Required: Valid state driver's license with a clean record. WORK EXPERIENCE Required: five (3) years of experience in landscaping industry. Required: one (1) year of experience driving a truck and trailer. KEY SKILLS SET Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight deadlines; and Team player. EQUIPMENT AND APPLICATIONS High proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook is a plus. Able to learn quality control system (e.g., VendorTrax) that is used on your smartphone
