The YWCA of Greater Cleveland is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. We are currently searching for a Teacher Assistant for our Early Learning Center.Some of the main duties of the Teacher Assistant are to: Provides quality care to children in accordance with ODJFS & NAYE rules and regulations. To assist the teacher in the daily activities in the classroom. Responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment. Helps to maintain accurate monthly attendance and meal count sheets. Supports and enhances the classroom curriculum. Gathers monthly information for the Center Newsletter. Maintains all equipment, supplies and keeps adequate inventory. Informs the Lead Teacher when supplies are needed. Attends staff and parent meetings. Helps maintain all records, and documents required by State Day Care Licensing. Responsible for maintaining child/staff ratio at all times. Able to substitute in other programs if needed. Ability to supervise, and maintain control of assigned group of children.
