Basic Job Duties: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in designated areas of the Caroline Detention Facility Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, light fixtures, restroom cleaning, etc.) Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects as scheduled throughout the year Notify supervisor of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs Cooperate with the rest of the staff Comply with Facility policies and procedures Follow all health and safety regulations Requirements: Proven working experience as a custodian Ability to handle heavy cleaning equipment and machinery Experience with floor stripping/waxing/buffing preferred Ability to climb a ladder Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets Integrity and ability to work independently Must be 21 years old or older High school degree Must be able to pass criminal background check, federal background check, pre-employmentdrug screening Base schedule:7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tuesday SaturdayMay be required to work after special events or other facility functionsMay be required to adjust schedule for large cleaning projects
