Accountable for: Surface grinds all die set components, maintain appropriate heights and tolerance, and reassemble diesets. Builds, rebuilds, repairs and or troubleshoots production tooling so as to get maximum productivity and quality on a timely basis. May be called upon to obtain non-typical results from shop machines in order to achieve final results for a particular product. Maintains and cares for all machinery, tools, and equipment, including keeping work area neat and clean. Complete required documentation for shop processes. Working independently or with a team building and finishing molds using a variety of machine shop equipment, such as drills, mills, saws, lathes, and surface grinder. Normally works from blueprints or detailed drawings. Troubleshoots, repairs and occasionally builds component parts for production machines. Requirements: To be considered for this position a person must have a two year diploma / degree in tool and die or machine tool technics is highly preferred.
