CONTROLLER Fox River Services, LLC is a management and administrative company providing services to affiliated and non-affiliated companies ("clients"). An integral part of our service offering is providing corporate level functional support to our clients in the areas of Accounting, Compliance, Human Resources, Information Technology and Risk Management.Fox River Services has an immediate need for a talented Controller who will play a significant role in the accounting services provided to our clients. This position reports to the CFO. Summary of Responsibilities The Controller is responsible for managing the day-to-day functions of the accounting department including financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable and cash flow management. He/she will assist in supporting the growth of the Company through process improvement initiatives, implementation, and oversight of internal controls. Essential Functions • Manage the day-to-day finances of company, cash management and cash flow.• Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's performance.• Prepare reports for various stakeholders in order to make informed economic decisions.• Assist in the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, and annual budgets.• Participating in monthly balance sheet and P&L reviews.• Maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the company's value.• Maintaining compliance with all federal, state, local, corporate, and other applicable taxes.• Continuously working to streamline accounting cycle and time necessary to close each period.• Being able to manage workload to meet deadlines, including the peak season demands of respective clients.• Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.• Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.Position Requirements• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.• CPA preferred.• 5-10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, preferably in both a public and private accounting environment.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.• High level of knowledge of Great Plains Dynamics General Ledger package is preferred.• Operational accounting management experience, including overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.• A track record of success in leading, managing, coaching and developing high performance teams.Personal Characteristics• Must be team-oriented and able to resolve conflict.• Must have desire and ability to train, develop, and manage people.• Ability to focus on details but also see the big picture.• Strong leadership skills.• High degree of intelligence and a quick learner.• A results-focused and action-oriented attitude.• An analytical mind with problem solving style.• Willingness to do whatever is necessary to get the job done.• High level of self-confidence and entrepreneurial style, yet willing to check ego at the door-must have a "down to earth" style.
