Ellen's Home South, a small locally owned Assisted Living is seeking an Assistant Director to be responsible for the management of the facility under the direction of the Director. The Assistant Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations and supervision of the facility. The Assistant Director will need to have strong leadership skills. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES - But not limited to: - Providing direct oversight training and monitoring of staff - Maintaining resident and employee files in coordination with HR department - Overseeing the activities coordinator, care staff, and housekeeping - Maintain a working knowledge of resident's medications and cares - Scheduling Resident's medical appointments and communicate with their doctors - Perform interviews, hiring process, and paperwork for new employees. - Perform Staff evaluations and monitor performance - Scheduling staff - Rotating on-call responsibilities QUALIFICATIONS - Ability to manage both resident care and employees - Must be a team player - Good organizational skills and flexible - Some computer knowledge - Ability to problem solve
