Pricing Analyst

Description:
The Pricing Analyst is responsible for analyzing and maintaining a profitable pricing structure on all existing products, ensuring accurate costs estimates and price quotations on active products and projects, and maintaining accurate and reliable input of price data into Oracle. Additional responsibilities include the integrity of system pricing. Essential Accountabilities Develop cost estimates and price quotations for all new and existing business for all markets. Ensure accuracy of all estimates to meet gross profit goals that achieve business profitability targets. Collaborate with engineering, design, tooling, and manufacturing to develop optimal part design, material, and tooling layout options to meet customer needs and win new business. Develop and maintain files for material sourcing, pricing, technical performance information and applications. Responsible for accurate price lists in Oracle for customer quotations and Placon product lines. Maintain confidentiality of pricing, formulas, custom designs, special projects, and products. Evaluate and determine quantities per assembly components of raw material, labor and overhead costs for each new product or project. Develop and maintain competitive pricing information used as a framework in developing pricing. Maintain central repository for historical pricing information and use as a framework in developing new pricing. Provide data to pricing manager for publishing of weekly Quote Activity Report that highlights new tool orders and wins. Monitor standard cost system to assess and evaluate changes in manufacturing costs or trends that may affect product profitability. Execute and implement price increases based on material movement and lead mass price changes, communication, and documentation while working with management and sales teams Through analysis, identify potential problem areas and make recommendations to protect profitability or improve lower margin products and customers. Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business related field and 3+ years of work experience in analytical or pricing roles, manufacturing based experience with exposure to standard costing methods. Desired Skills Knowledge of and proficiency using Excel and a bility to develop and use mathematical/Excel formulas Knowledge of basic financial analysis formulas, ratios, and acumen Strong analytical skills and ability to organize data, synthesize, communicate results, and recommend actions Ability to effectively work cross functionally with all support departments Strong communication skills (both verbally and in writing) with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization Position Requirements Work Environment Conditions: Inside (office) Equipment/Tools Used: (office equipment , machinery, tools, software, etc.) Computer, Phone, Fax, copier, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word/Teams), Oracle, Orbit, Salesforce.com Physical Requirements: Normal Office Mental Requirements: Reading, Writing, Calculating, Analysis Strong Interpersonal Skills Reasoning/Analysis Works with Minimal Supervision Able to manage multiple priorities at one time
