Alliance Health System is seeking a motivated Surgical Coordinator responsible for administrative and clerical tasks. Duties include but area not limited to, processing incoming patients, answering telephones, filling out paperwork, and scheduling all aspects of patients' surgical procedures. To be successful in this role, a Surgical Coordinator must be detail-oriented and meticulous, and must have strong communication and customer service skills.The ideal candidate will have experience filing paperwork, preparing bills, and communicating with insurance companies. Summary of Responsibilities: Schedule patient appointments and surgeries, send reminders to patients, and schedule emergency and add-on surgeries Ensure adequate preparation for surgeries by scheduling the necessary equipment and procedure rooms, and maintain the surgical inventory Understand surgical procedures such as the necessary surgery duration, in order to properly maintain a surgical schedule Manage surgical documents, gather and input patient information, and enter post-surgical data into patient records Ensure all surgical cases are scheduled in a timely manner in accordance with the physician's directions Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification Experience in clerical, admirative, or secretarial work may be advantageous Good computer, telephone, and typing skills Strong customer service and communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking skills Familiarity with terminology, medical records, and medical coding Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Schedule: Monday to Friday Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Work Location: One location This Company Describes Its Culture as: Detail-oriented -- quality and precision-focused Outcome-oriented -- results-focused with strong performance culture People-oriented -- supportive and fairness-focused Team-oriented -- cooperative and collaborative Benefit Conditions: Waiting period may apply Work Remotely: No COVID-19 considerations:Alliance Health System is educating employees and patients about steps they can take to protect themselves and others through the implementation of the CDC recommendations.
