Oceanwood Camp and Conference Center , a Christian camp located on the beautiful coast of Southern Maine, is seeking to fill a year-round cook position. This position is responsible for providing low to moderately complex food preparation and for working closely with our leadership staff to provide an exceptional guest experience. If you are looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a positive and lasting impact, please submit your resume to XXXX@tabcom.org Responsibilities Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.) Cook food in various utensils or grillers Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen Ensure all food and other items are stored properly Check quality of ingredients Prepare meals for groups of 40-80 people Serve plated meals to campers and staff Maintain clean kitchen area, including dishes, garbage removal and sweeping/mopping Skills Proven experience as cook in large quantities Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.) Ability to follow all sanitation procedures Ability to work in a team Very good communication skills All meals provided while working.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
