Purchasing Assistant Ritz-Craft's Purchasing Department now has opportunities available for a Purchasing Assistant. Successful candidates should be comfortable using a computer, calling vendors on the phone, writing purchase orders, negotiating vendor pricing and performing administrative office duties. Duties include: Ability to read the production order and blueprint and order material accordingly. Ability to compare items received on packing slip to items ordered and communicate with vendor if there are any discrepancies. Ability to communicate directly with different departments Engineering on print discrepancies Sales on order questions Accounting on invoice questions Administrative duties Entering orders into ERP Updating Pricing Creating new part numbers Print the variance-report on a weekly basis and investigate price discrepancies. This involves comparing the invoiced price to the current price quote. Also involves communicating with the buyers regarding pricing discrepancies.
