The purpose of this position is to help expedite and deliver orders from the kitchen and the bar. At times, you may be asked to also greet customers at the door and assign guest to tables. General Responsibilities - Expo Communicate orders and information between the front and back of house Make sure the food is cooked in the right order and quickly Ensure the food is presented to the customer as beautifully as possible General Responsibilities - Runner Deliver food and drinks to customers in a timely manner Check orders for accuracy Take additional orders when required Helps expedite orders General Responsibilities - Host Greet customers at the door Seat guests and communicate who their server will be Provide menus to guests and cleans them afterwards Acknowledge guests upon their exit Job Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience: Previous expediting experience preferred Excellent oral communication skills required. Positive interpersonal skills required. Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English. License/Qualifications: Servsafe food handlers certification (or equivalent) FLSA Information Management Activities: None ADA Information Physical Requirements: Ability to speak and hear. Close and distance vision. Frequent walking with some standing at times. Will walk for long periods of time, possibly extended distances. Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs. Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs. Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills. Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly. Working Conditions: May be indoor or outdoor setting depending on season and location. Varied weather conditions are expected. Will work near moving or mechanical parts. May work near toxic/caustic chemicals and with fumes or airborne particles. Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.
