Job Type: Full-Time w/BenefitsReports To: Director of Residential ProgramsJob Description:Join Liberty Ministries' Residential Aftercare Program Division working side by side with our male and female residents who were recently released from prison. The Residential Program Social Worker will provide assistance and support to the residents of our Liberty House, Pennsburg House and Ann's House programs.The Residential Program Social Worker will be responsible for the following job duties:Conducts initial assessment of residents' situation upon program entry to determine needsEstablishes course of action by exploring options and setting goals with clientsObtains assistance for residents by arranging for appointments and establishing rapport with other agenciesMonitors planned actions by periodic follow-upMaintains records of case by documenting resident's situation and actionsWorks with probation officers, domestic relations, courts, etc. to advocate for and assist residents in meeting their needsComplies with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actionsMaintains regular communication with the Director of Residential Programs on all residents and their progress, issues, behavior, etc.Works with Residential Program Advisors to coordinate meetings and transportationAssists graduating residents to find suitable housing in communityMinimum Requirements:Graduate degree in Social Work2 years' related experience (preferred)Ability to travel to all three residential facilitiesKnowledge of addictions and recoveryExperience working with those incarcerated or formerly incarcerated is preferredAffirmation of LM Statement of FaithEducation: BSW required, MSW preferredSchedule: 40 hrs/week
