The Staff Nurse provides support and care to the Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center (CSPC) clients and maintains professional standards of care. We seek a professional who is compassionate and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The Staff Nurse is responsible for a variety of clinical services, nursing interventions, client referrals, and medical follow-up. This position offers an individual a rewarding opportunity to minister in a dynamic and growing evangelistic ministry. Location: Colorado Springs, CO Pay Range: $21.50 - $25.50 Hourly RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains current working knowledge of nursing methods, principles, and practices in relation to pregnancy, STIs, the prevention and treatment of disease, ultrasounds, safety and infection control, clinical systems, supplies, and equipment Performs nursing services for the pregnancy centers, including but not limited to pregnancy tests, STI tests, education, client follow-up, maintenance of accurate client records, review of client files, and maintenance of supply inventory as assigned Schedules and performs limited ultrasounds Maintains and promotes clinic cleanliness and safety as stated in the Policies and Procedures Assists with volunteer recruitment, training, supervision, and direct support Assists with program development Assists Nurse Manager with administrative duties as assigned and works in support of CSPC Director Assists other staff and helps fill staffing vacancies Assist Client Services staff with planning and implementation of in-service trainings and volunteer appreciation events Additional duties as assigned Participates in staff development events and volunteer in-services Participation by all staff is required at Life Network's major events EXPERIENCE Holds a current Registered Nurse's License in good standing with the State Medical Board A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is highly preferred QUALIFICATIONS Strong advocate for sanctity of life issues Possesses Christian testimony with evidence of Christian maturity in personal and professional life Active commitment in a local church Full agreement with Life Network statement of faith and foundational statements A passion for the ministry accomplished through Life Network and a heart for reaching the lost of our community/world with the Gospel Must demonstrate ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discernment while assisting in maintaining positive working relationships with staff, clients, and volunteers Able to occasionally lift 20 to 30 lbs. Teachable spirit and functions well in team environment Aptitude to learn software programs and systems Flexible in unanticipated and unusual situations Computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and Internet savvy CLASSIFICATION Part-time at 20-24 hours per week. Reports to the Nurse Manager. Scheduled hours are Tuesday through Saturday with flexibility for evening hours. Primarily working from Fountain location but may require traveling between locations. This position is eligible for paid time off, holiday pay, and retirement plan match.
