The Galliker Dairy Company is a major, Mid-Atlantic dairy processor and distributor of Milk, Iced Tea, and Ice Cream products. THIS IS FOR THE 1ST AND 2ND SHIFT POSITION Current Work Schedule - 5 days a week or 4 ten hour days Compensation - Competitive wage & excellent benefit package which includes Low Deductible Medical and Dental plan, Life insurance and 401k Savings Plan. EOE/AA E-Verify Primary Function: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the equipment at the facility in good operating condition by performing preventative maintenance, machine test, trouble shooting, removing technical issues, and performing emergency repairs, lubricating machinery, etc. Requirments: Knowledge of the use of hand tools, power tools, etc. Knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing & Mechanical Systems. Ability to read and understand documents, drawing, blueprints. Strong troubleshooting skills Ability to operate forklift, hand jack, stand up jack, man lift. Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. Other Skills: Problem solving skills and attention to detail Work effectively with other team members in a loud environment, as well as freezer & cooler conditions. 2 years minimum experience in one or more of the building trades. Valid driver's license Strong mechanical & manufacturing experience Electrical skills preferred, Low & High Voltage, PLC operations, VFD operations. Welding Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain a schedule for inspection, servicing, and testing machinery Diagnosing and repairing machine failures. Install, assemble, and test new machines and equipment. Understand and comply with workplace safety regulations, Lock out / Tag out, Confined Space, Good Manufacturing Practices. Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate. Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery. Maintain machinery and adjacent workplace in a state of appropriate cleanliness. Complete repairs and parts replacement/Re-Order. Complete Preventative Maintenance Schedule, Maintain X Software. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
