JOB SUMMARY The Compliance Specialist is responsible for monitoring the compliance for a diverse portfolio of both senior and multi-family properties that include multiple funding sources from Affordable Housing Programs such as Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Section 8 Project Based Vouchers, Rural Development, CDBG Funds, and HOME funds. WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU Benefits--health, dental and vision insurance plans, PTO, paid holidays, 401k w/ company match after 1 year, EAP, and more Training and career development in a field that has a positive impact within our local communities Work with a team of dedicated professionals Consistent schedule Monday through Friday DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain technical understanding of compliance requirements for various affordable housing programs Monitor compliance for a diverse portfolio Review & Approve all resident files prior to certification deadline Maintain & Review state housing agency monitoring compliance manuals and state specific compliance requirements Assist in state and investor file audits and conduct necessary research to prepare response Assist in agency and investor reporting Maintain OneSite Database Assist in revisions to company procedures and forms Assist with training property management staff on compliance Compose and proof materials Demonstrates and follows the Oakbrook Values: Ethical, Professional, Collaborative, Family All other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Associate's, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred Affordable Housing experience (HUD Sec. 8, Tax Credit, Rural Development, HOME, CDBG, etc.) HCCP and/or COS Certificates are a bonus Computer software applications knowledge and Microsoft suite skills
