Little Discoveries Early Education Academy is looking to hire EEC Certified Teachers and Teacher Assistants who are enthusiastic and love working as part of a team in a fun, fast paced environment. Since 1999, we have been offering a wide range of programs committed to providing the highest quality of early childhood education and care for our children and their families. Our teachers take an active role in the day-to-day operation of the classroom through planning, teaching, and communicating with staff members, children, and families. Responsibilities Create an emotionally responsive, caring, positive, and accepting environment supportive of the individual development of each child. Utilize a variety of creative educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, audio & video tools, etc.) to engage and instruct the children. Monitor the children to ensure that they play and interact with one another in a safe and appropriate manner. Provide stimulating activities that will nurture physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development. Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards. Foster strong family relationships through open communication to understand the children's progress and goals. Support organizational mission, philosophies, values, goals, and policies to parents, guardians, and coworkers. Qualifications Early Education & Care (EEC) License High School Diploma, or GED required, associate's degree preferred Related CDA or college-level course work, or courses toward an associate's or bachelor's degree. Minimum of 1 year of professional teaching experience in a licensed preschool, or early education setting with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers required. Must meet education and school state requirements.
