Job Overview: FAR Group is looking for a qualified Fitness Training Instructor to provide services to Pentagon Force Protection Agency. Job Details: Job Title: Fitness Training Instructor Location : Raven Rock Mountain Complex (RRMC) with required travel to and from Hagerstown Community College. Schedule: Part-time (20 hours a week) with required Travel to and from Hagerstown Community College. Requirements & Skills: A minimum of Five years' experience is desired. Must possess a bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in an accredited exercise science. Creditable specialized experience includes developing long and short- range planning and coordination of sport/mission specific performance programs. Must have experience working with professional and/or collegiate athletes, or equivalent. Proficient in Adobe PDF and Microsoft Programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). General fitness certification from organizations such as American Council on Exercise (ACE); American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM); National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA); National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM); Certifications from other fitness organizations will be considered. Certified CPR, AED, First Aide. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Work in cooperation with the sports medicine or athletic training staff in the facility. Coordinate, schedule, and administer PFPA's annual Physical Ability Test (PAT) for each of its federal law-enforcement officers. Track and report PAT results to PFPA's Fitness Training Staff. Coordinate, schedule, and administer additional health and fitness assessments (such as weigh-ins) for PFPA's LEO Track and report additional health and fitness assessment results to appropriate RMFD staff (e.g., medical, fitness). Develop exercise-prescriptions and provide physical-fitness training, coaching, and education to PFPA's LEO in areas of general fitness, reconditioning, weight-loss, and other areas related to health and fitness. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, transport, and demonstrate with a 145lbs. rescue dummy (Rescue Randy). Why choose FAR Group?
