SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The Recreation Therapist will spend half of their time providing recreational services and half of their time performing direct care responsibilities including, ensuring individuals' health, safety and welfare, enhancing the quality of individuals' lives, and supports community inclusion. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Job Duties) Coordinate with other services and programs provided to the individuals in order to make fullest possible use of the facility's resources and to maximize benefits to the residents. Structure, incorporate and implement individual daily recreational programs. Keep accurate and current records of individuals' recreational programs. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED with two years of experience in recreation, plus completion of comprehensive In-Service training in recreation or demonstrated proficiency. Certified CRA with experience working with the Community Living population.
