JOB SUMMARY This position will assist with the COVID testing and vaccination process including, scheduling, administering vaccinations, data entry, event management, and patient communication. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Vaccinate community and patients with the COVID 19 vaccine. Assist with and collect COVID-19 specimen during testing events at IHB and in the surrounding community. Prepare patients for vaccine by providing information and instructions Provide health materials, resources and education to patients and their families for informational purposes according to need and learning capacity Follow established occupational safety and health procedures, avoid exposing others to health and safety risks and participate in employer-provided occupational safety procedures. Following local, state, and federal guidelines as well as communicating and reporting to outside organizations as needed. Respects and maintains levels of patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and regulations at all times. Ensure that all required reports, clinical and administrative documentation is completed in an accurate, timely and complete fashion EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE LPN/RN, licensed in the state of MN New Graduates welcome Retain current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ Basic Life Support (BLS) Excellent written and oral communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, as well as navigating the EHR HIPAA IHB makes reasonable efforts to limit access to and use of protected health information (PHI) by employees to the minimum necessary performance of assigned duties as outlines in job descriptions. This position is access restricted to PHI needed to carry out health care operations. Important: The COVID and Influenza vaccine are required at Indian Health Board
