Therapeutic Foster Care Behavior Specialist-Full Time

Description:
In search of a full-time , paraprofessional to provide services to children and adolescents (0-21) participating in our therapeutic foster care services. Candidate will be required to provide direct care services, supervise consumers and provide therapeutic activities during crisis or disruption, provide behavioral redirection, training, and support to address the functional/daily or community living skills and needs of individuals with developmental disabilities, substance abuse issues and/or emotional or behavioral challenges. Candidate will provide transportation for individuals receiving services to planned and/or necessary activities and appointments and must be able to regularly travel within Cumberland County and surrounding areas. Maintenance of current progress and service notes and any other appropriate documentation will be required. Education/experience: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor degree preferred Experience working with children who have behavioral diagnoses and their families preferred Other requirements: Access to reliable transportation adhering to all NC Division of Motor Vehicle laws (current vehicle registration, vehicle insurance, and driver's license) Current CPR/FA and BBP training, or complete training and certification in mandated time frame Home office is in Fayetteville with travel throughout Cumberland County and surrounding areas The mission of Pinnacle Family Services is to build relationships that enhance lives and support healthy families.
