PLUMBING TECHNICIAN Plumbing Tech (salary based on experience) Compensation: $37,351.36 - $53,248.25 Annually; FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Closing Date/Time: This position is considered open until filled POSITION FUNCTION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Plumber is responsible for working with a team, including Property Manager, Maintenance Technicians, and others to develop maintenance plumbing plan to meet goals established for the Public Housing properties. Plumber is responsible for general plumbing including maintaining the flow and drainage of water, air, and other gases by assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, and fittings and plumbing fixtures for all facilities. Maintains and provides for the safe condition and operation of all plumbing systems in all facilities. Maintenance plumbing plan includes managing work orders, formulating inventory levels, performing plumbing maintenance. Education and Experience: Required: High School Diploma or GED Two (2) years vocational program in plumbing or related field Four (4) years of journey-level plumbing experience State of New Mexico Journeyman Plumber (JP) license State of New Mexico Journeyman Gas Fitter (JG) license Preferred: Certified Backflow Prevention Substitution: None Language Requirements: Required: Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures and federal documents. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from vendors, contractors, supervisors, co-workers, residents, and city/county agencies.
