Heyman & Associates, PLLC is a small and dynamic public accounting firm in Round Rock, TX seeking a permanent part-time or full-time staff accountant to join our team. We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented individual with a full range of experience in accounting, tax preparation, and business advisory services. Essential Functions Perform a broad range of accounting services including, but not limited to, bookkeeping, payroll, tax planning and tax preparation, and various aspects of business advisory under the direction of the principals Demonstrate commitment to competency in technical skill, work quality, efficiency, and application of professional and firm standards Prepare and complete reports, projects, work papers, and duties as assigned or determined Provide full service and personal attention to all firm clients developing and maintaining long term relationships Organize client data, analyze information, and prepare tax returns including forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 1041 Meet time constraints and deadlines Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required), or Master's degree in Accounting (preferred) Licensed Certified Public Accountant (preferred), or CPA Candidate Enrolled Agent if not a licensed CPA Must have 3 + years experience in public accounting and tax preparation Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills Experience with Lacerte tax software is a plus
