The Location: Hale Makua Health Services is a Maui based non-profit that improves the well-being of those in its care through compassionate personalized health services. We are devoted to helping Maui's Elders live their best lives. Hale Makua's Kahului location is a 254-bed nursing facility. The Position: We're looking for passionate Dietary Transporters responsible for both food preparation, and driving large vehicles to deliver prepared meals between Hale Makua nursing facilities. Loads and unloads transportation trucks with meal wagons and other supplies. Between deliveries, performs duties of Cooks and Dietary Aides as assigned, including food preparation and production, service, and clean up. Operates all cooking equipment. Cleans, washes and sanitizes equipment used in food preparation and keeps the work area clean and orderly. Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid and unrestricted driver's license. Ability to read, speak and follow oral and written instructions. 6 months cooking experience in restaurant or institutional cooking. Must have current medical/health screening including 2 step TB clearance (can be done in-house).
