J ob Opening at Hera Technologies, LLC Position: Engineering Technician Job Description Summary: Hera Technologies, LLC (the "Company") is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Technician to join its team working in a hands-on, collaborative environment. The individual will perform the responsibilities listed below and other duties as required by the Company. The successful candidate must be familiar with a manufacturing environment, a self-starter who pays attention to detail and accuracy, and takes responsibility for their work. FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Hourly Type: Full-time Salary Range: $25.00 - $30.00 Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm; Some overtime and weekend work may be necessary. Hours may be adjusted at the discretion of your supervisor. Reports to: Manufacturing Engineer Location: 90% onsite at 1055 E Francis St. Ontario, CA 91761, with 10% travel to Hera East at 350 Imperial Blvd. Cape Canaveral, FL 32920 Essential Job Duties (which include, but not limited to): Create training procedures for incoming Techs/Inspectors as required. Follow through with the development of training based on collaboration with Engineering, Production, and Quality. Update manufacturing planning as required. Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production to develop supporting documentation and manufacturing instructions. Provide hands on support to Production, such as, structural bonding, bench, and paint. May lead projects related to process improvements to enhance product efficiency. May lead projects related to Root Cause Corrective Action, and Rework. Under Engineering guidance, assist in the troubleshooting and qualification of manufacturing equipment. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Ensure that required documentation is complete and in compliance with specifications and procedures. Assist Engineering with procedure creation of NPIs. Learn to perform cross-functional operations. The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the individual(s) assigned to this position. Minimum Requirements: Ability to create training procedures for incoming Techs/Inspectors as required. Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and working with all levels of the organization. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently. Experience with structural bonding and fastening of composite assemblies, including surface preparation for bonding TPS. Must be able to work in control ventilated environments with mask and protection gear. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to perform effectively in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment Ability to comprehend and apply principles of basic math, algebra, and basic statistical data. Must be a self-starter and able to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision. Strong team player and ability to work independently with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English . A bility to learn to perform cross-functional operations. Preferred Requirements: Excellent 2D drawing interpretation skills along with a thorough understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Previous Experience in Aerospace, specifically Structures, Machining, and Paint. CAD experience such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX Technical Writing Work authorization: Must be US Citizen or Authorized to work in the US. Must be willing to undergo and pass a criminal background check. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical examination, including an alcohol and drug test. Work environment: Employee spends most of the day on their feet and must follow strict safety rules. They wear safety glasses to protect their eyes from airborne debris. Loud noise from machinery requires use of hearing protectors. They wear hard toe shoes or boots to protect their feet from potentially dropped objects.
