The Project Manager is responsible for a combination of planning and execution of activities related to the delivery of projects and/or financial/budgeting activity for their teams. When executing on project delivery, Project Managers are responsible for the success of one or more projects within a given timeline and budget, the creation and maintenance of status reports, and proactively managing issues and risks. When performing financial/budgeting activities they monitor and adjust to given budgets, track labor, capital spend, and support variance root cause analysis. Project manager must align with strategy, commitments, and goals of our internal and external customers while maintaining commitment to the value and mission of the organization. Project Manager Job Duties: Knowledge of project management processes, workflows, and terminology, including a proficient understanding of the Project Management disciplines. Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress. Help define project scope, goals, required resources and deliverables. (i.e. strategic brief, function spec, tech spec, etc.) to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met. Ensure resource availability and allocation. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Report and escalate to management as needed. Manage the relationship with the customer and all stakeholders. Perform risk management to minimize project risks. Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Meet with customers to clarify specific requirements of each project. Delegate project tasks based on team members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels. Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals. Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis. Use and continually develop leadership skills. Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency. Perform other related duties as assigned. Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs. Lead quality assurance. Monitor and report on project progress. Present stakeholder's report on progress as well as problems and solutions. Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs. Evaluate and assess result of project. Other duties as assigned. Skills Proven and successful project management skills and experience. Strategic thinking. Developing and Tracking Budgets. Demonstrated ability to coach, supervise, staff, and manage others. Ability to guide and lead team to achieve customer goals. Inventory Control. Verbal Communication. Extremely detail oriented with a focus on process improvement. Technical and process competence. Motivated, self-directed, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled internal and external negotiator. High level of initiative and work well in a team environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well.
