Facility Janitor Families and Youth Innovations Plus is hiring a full-time Facilities Janitor The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs maintenance of buildings and equipment. They also assemble furniture and assist with major repairs as needed. The Facilities Maintenance Technician assists the Lead Technician with all duties and assignments with a minimum of supervision. Competencies Concern for Safety Inventory/Supply Management Attention to Detail Initiative Fostering Communication Professionalism Planning and Organizing Problem Solving Responsibilities: Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment Maintain safety procedures by handling cleaning equipment and supplies according to company protocols Perform special project cleaning in designated areas Clean assigned areas throughout the building including office areas Restore building interiors using commercial cleaning equipment Inspect all assigned areas daily and report all cleaning and maintenance discrepancies to supervisor Empty trash in all areas of the building as needed Handle basic cleaning equipment and other janitorial work Other duties as assigned Qualifications: High School (High school diploma) diploma or equivalent required. Valid NM Drivers Licenses with clean driving record; CPR/First Aide and CPI Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 20-30 pounds Required Clearances: Must pass a CYFD Criminal Records Check.
