About the Position This role requires great customer skills, high attention to detail, safety, and high quality of work. We are looking for hard working, organized, and professional Crew Members who have installed timber frames or would like to learn how to install timber frames. Duties would include performing tasks in all areas and aspects of timber and general framing. The aptitude to work with tools, timbers, and materials are essential along with the capacity to lift and manipulate timbers. Work will include cutting mortise and tenon joints, surfacing and finishing timbers, moving material with the forklift, and traveling to help erect the frames. Construct and repair timber frames/packages, rafters, posts, beams, and trusses . Principle Duties and Responsibilities Manage/Lead the traveling crew to erect and install post & beam and timber frames both in Residential and Commercial Job sites. Review drawings and hardware lists before installation date with Project Managers Managing project schedule, equipment rentals for each project Visit job sites prior to installation and coordinate appropriately with contractors and Project Managers Responsible for onsite safety and OSHA Compliance Review what part of the project should be sent/installed to the job site first Provide back up and aid to shop/production when not traveling Assist in project takeoffs and design reviews for projects when applicable. Ensuring installations meet or exceed quality expectations Working with power tools (skill saw, belt sander, power drill, etc.) Working with traditional hand tools (chisel, mallets, etc.) Sanding timber Distressing timber Cutting and cleaning/squaring joinery on timber Ability to effectively read plans and details Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience in residential and commercial construction Capable of using power tools with confidence Carpenter, Framer, or Woodworking experience Ability in problem-solving Ability to travel with installation crews Professional with a positive attitude Self-motivated and confident. Education and Experience: High school or equivalent (Required) Construction: 1 year (preferred) Driver's License (Preferred) Key Details: Competitive Compensation Package Benefits and 401K are comprehensive and one of the best programs in the industry.
