Aquatics Specialist Salary : $38,500 - $41,000 Aquatics Specialist Hours : 40/week, flexible scheduling available (Part Time) Aquatics Specialist Responsibilities : Serving as the leader for lifeguard supervision and aquatic safety Serving as the main point of contact for private/semi-private swimming lessons Collaborating with the Director of Aquatics and Membership to promote fair pool usage and a positive, nurturing atmosphere for all types of pool users (swim team, open swim, swim lessons, water aerobics, etc.) Ensuring the safety of aquatic environments Ensuring pool rules are enforced professionally and all locker rooms are monitored by aquatics staff Monthly lifeguard drills and inservices are occurring and accurate records of completion are maintained in accordance with policy Supporting the Director in achieving budgeted goals in group swim lessons and private swim lessons, which can include working in direct service teaching a portion of these lessons Serving in direct support of members as a lifeguard and swim instructor Aquatics Specialist Qualifications : A Bachelor's degree 1-3 years of experience in pool management/administration (preferred) 1-3 years of swim lesson experience (preferred) American Red Cross certification for Lifeguarding Listen First training within the first six months of employment (provided) Knowledge of research methods and a high degree of computer proficiency in Microsoft office products Aquatics Specialist Benefits: Supplemental insurance benefits (Voluntary Accident/Injury, Hospital, and Cancer coverage via Aflac) 12% employer contribution to your YMCA pension plan YMCA Membership 30% off of Childcare and Camps Employee Assistance Program Employee Wellness Program Exceptional growth potential for your role and career Salary: $38,500 - $41,000 per year Hours: 40/week, flexible scheduling available Job Type: Part-time YMCA is an Equal Opportunity Employer All Qualified Women, Minorities, Persons with Disabilities, and US Veterans Encouraged to Apply ARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?
