Graham Spray Equipment Job Description Job Title: Welder & Fabricator Reports To: Welding Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Summary: The Welder's main responsibilities will receive stock metal and cut sheet metal to build custom lawn care spray rigs. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Receive stock metal from semi-trucks to build customized lawn care spray rigs Unload semi-trucks and load metal into steel aluminum racks Measure and cut sheet metal and use a saw to cut materials Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. One year of welding experience required (aluminum welding preferred). Metal Inert Gas (MIG) aluminum spool gun and steel welding experience required. Must be able to use a square. Proficiency with tools such as welding machines, grinders, and saws. Must be able to comply with safety awareness and regulations. Effective verbal communication and shop skills. Must be punctual and have a dependable work ethic. Ability to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Must be able to read a tape measure. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described herein are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level is usually moderate.
